Leapfrog Geothermal release 2.3
Leapfrog Geothermal 2.3 now has more Tough2 functionality than ever before. Create new Tough2 grids and configure the input files directly from Leapfrog. Run a simulation and load the results right back into Leapfrog for visualising. Leapfrog Geothermal 2.3 is packed with new functionality for visualising, interpreting and modelling your geology models.
New features:
Tough2 - generation new grids
Users can now create basic Tough2 block model grids directly in Leapfrog Geothermal rather than using third party software, allowing for smoother workflows and less chance for errors to occur.
Tough2 - generation of input files
Create Tough2 simulation in Leapfrog Geothermal. You can create Tough2 rock types, edit the parameters, set up general simulation parameters along with the initial conditions for rock types for the EOS1 module, and then export it all to a Tough2 ‘inputs’ file.
Tough2 - visualisation of simulation results over time steps
Load outputs from Tough2 simulation listings into Leapfrog to visualise the results for block variables over the range of time steps provided.
Value transformations – for normalizing skewed distributions
Skewed value distributions normalize with a logarithmic transformation when using numerical models.
Structural measurements for faults
Easily edit fault entities in Geological Models with structural data to quickly adjust the surface.
Structural trends for numerical models
Spatially varying structural trends can now be easily defined and used as spatially variable anisotropy to produce numerical models.
Production of fence sections
Create new piecewise fence sections for improved cross section reporting.
Project borehole collars onto topography
Correct the elevation of borehole collar points so that they are coincident with the topography.
Handling of special borehole data values
Leapfrog Geothermal now supports handling of special and invalid values for Numeric data types. Three separate types of rules can be configured for Missing Values, Non-numeric values and Numeric values.
Borehole text can be different to the data column
In the past, labels have been limited to match only the colouring. Now drillhole labels may be configured to display any data column for the object.
Higher resolution and better quality movies
Movies created in Leapfrog geothermal now have full HD movie support.
And more:
- Show volume points for intrusions
- "Save a zipped copy" for projects
- Image importation improvements
- Export of object data to Leapfrog Viewer
- 3D visualisation improvements
- Modflow - MT3D concentrations import
- Modflow - numerous file support improvements
- Modflow - production of zones LPF files
- Modflow - evaluation of grids on multiple geological models
- Datamine binary file import
