Event Name Introduction to Resource Estimation using Leapfrog Edge, Brisbane, Australia - A joint training with RSC
Start Date 11th Sep 2019 8:00am
End Date 13th Sep 2019 5:00pm
Duration 2 days and 9 hours

Rather than emphasising software processes alone, this course will take a close look at the rationale behind every step of resource estimation and you will get a comprehensive understanding of the why and how of all steps involved. This offers you a great balance between developing hands-on software skills and understanding the underlying theory.

The 2.5-day course will cover:

  • Domaining and its importance as an expression of geological control on mineralisation
  • Evaluating the informing data quality
  • Data preparation and processing techniques including compositing, declustering and variography
  • Fundamental principles of resource estimation
  • Summary on resource validation, classification and reporting

Participants can claim 20 PD hours for their professional development pathway through the relevant institutes.

This training session will be demonstrated in Leapfrog Edge and it is highly recommended you familiarise yourself with the software beforehand. If you do not currently have access to the software, please let our team know and we will get in touch to arrange trial access in the lead up to the training.
